Application for Variance from ISDTA Ruling at State Contest Due to Disability

ISDTA Rules require that each team utilize the same number of dancers and the same dancers for all categories entered by that team except for Coed, AllMale, Color Guard and Show  Production categories.  A variance from this rule will be allowed only if a performer has a  permanent disability that would be recognized and considered to be covered by the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).

An individual with a disability is defined by the ADA as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. This does not apply to a temporary injury such as knee surgery, rolled ankle, pulled hamstring, etc.
